A Study of Conflicts Inside Human Minds
The human mind has often been compared with the universe. I really don’t understand why we don’t have the nine wonders of the world instead of 7. Is this because the universe and mind are larger than the thought of a “wonder”? We all have our daily wonders in the conscious world but what about the wonders of the outside world?
There are many topics that humans explore, only to discover the more that is learned the more questions arise. “Man” wanted to have a closer look at the universe so we engineered the Hubble which has brought us a view of our universe through the eyes of a super-microscope. Once we began to see through these eyes, thousands of new mysteries were born.
In your inner world, your brain sees pictures and symbols. Everyday the human mind is exposed to millions of images. It is estimated that the average human takes in over 4000 images every day. In the conscious side of your brain a small portion of all this imagery is processed in comparison with to the subconscious. When you are awake (beta state) and functioning in daily activities it is impressing in your subconscious state. It is estimated by human brain researchers your unconscious brain power is 30,000 times greater than your conscious. Your meditative state also has many other tasks that run silently in the background such as keeping all involuntary body parts functioning. Your imagination is the communication mechanism to to your sub-conscious. This is how people learn to be fearful, happy or sad.
It is no secret that tapping onto our sub-conscious powers will increase your state of mind and body. From caveman to the modern day information highway we should realize how human minds evolved over time. The human race has always driven forward influenced by environment, necessity, motivation, fear, intelligence and presence of mind.
Why is it that we always seem to find conflict?
The Psychology of War
Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind. ~John F. Kennedy, 1961
It is puzzling to try and understand why history shows that war is an inevitable consequence of the world we work so hard to build. We have learned to fly to the moon, find cures for the deadliest germs, fly around the world in less that a day and build machines that almost think like humans (the computer). I recently read a book written by Lawrence LeShan- former military psychologist. In his book ( The Psychology of War: Comprehending Its Mystique and Its Madness) he describes a separation of people when they start to perceive the world in a mythic state. This is a condition of society is where a dividing line is draw between good and evil. It is usually contagious…one person thinks it, one person of power thinks it then a nation thinks it.
Griffin, Roger. 1991. The Nature of Fascism. New York: St. Martin’s Press. On “populism, see p. 26: “Fascism is a genus of political ideology whose mythic core in its various permutations is a palingenetic form of populist ultra-nationalism”.
This is a philosophical answer that I subscribe to, given the nature of mankind in history, we are warmongers. It’s a topic within itself if I were to elaborate more on the self destruct mechanism we seem to have genetically embedded in us. But it all starts in the human brain.
Let’s Remove Ourselves From the War Zone…
The Psychology of Love
Take a close look at the most powerful force in the world. Can you imagine if we had the mind control to only love one another? Many believe the feeling of true love to be the most intense human emotion (feeling) we have. It is a form of affection we have for special people that have significant meaning in our lives. The word love can also mean that you enjoy something very much. That homemade plate of mom’s spaghetti…”man I really love that“. No matter what culture or country you visit, love is an international language we all share. On the opposing side of love is hate, which most of us have felt It can also be associate with patriotic values. This is a reality space where Love and War collide. Soldiers join the army and go to war for the love of their country (patriotism).
The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to love and be loved in return.
~ From “Unforgettable with Love” by Natalie Cole
Close your eyes and imagine yourself living in a country where bombs are going off every few minutes, some hit targets some don’t. The deep roar and thundering echoes with the earth shattering sound of buildings being obliterated. Nothing new to you, flying your kite in the scenic mountainside with your brother is something you’ve always loved. In the book “Kite Runner” you will get a raw, unadulterated feel of what it is like for a father, sons and a Servant living and growing up with this as a lifestyle foundation. The growth throughout their lives is presented with possible redemption, cost of betraying, compromises and fatherhood influences. It is a truly emotional book to read.
Visualization is only as good as the writer for the human mind to draw pictures of the written content they read. When you read enlightening material it may cause a change of perspective. Reading is like human mind weightlifting. It is a technique documented in writing journals and nursing journals countless times. Your conscious mind provides input to the subconscious. This provides fuel for the higher intelligence part of your brain to engineer the dreams you have.
In clinical psychology it has been discovered people are familiar with the visual images they see because they are stored as memories. In neuropsychology (study of function and structure of brains) memory retention is often studied. In a survey conducted amongst 85 people that had a 17 item quiz test. After 2 weeks 65% of the information had been lost from their memory banks.
To bring the subconscious mind spirit into the physical world is constantly being researched and attempts are being made to mimic a human mind. Like the universe the more we learn the more we uncover. It is an perpetually infinite .
